    Endorphin Therapy for Depression
Stay at home parents are at high risk for depression, particularly if they have small children with very high needs. Think about it:
    • The recipients of their labor are completely unappreciative

    • They are on call 24 hours a day

    • They are overworked and underpaid

    • They are tired

    It's About a DirectionIt's About a Direction
"It's about a direction--not a line." John Stonestreet, Summit Ministries. Perhaps, the greatest single statement of parenting advice I have ever heard. As parents, we long to shape our children into becoming people whose hearts are right. Yet, so often we teach only lines. . . . keep reading

I have not been a perfect parent, to say the least. There are, however, a couple of things I did that I was pretty sure were a good idea at the time, and which have yielded some pretty awesome results. Listening would probably be in the top two or three on my list of Exceptional Parenting Tips. Here's how I learned it. . . . keep reading

As an adult, I have maintained my weight within a ten pound range (except, of course, for pregnancies and one other extremely stressful time period.) As I write, I am four pounds overweight, which is pretty darn good for someone in their 50's, if I do say so myself. Not that I don't want to weigh 15 pounds less - I am after all an American female! -- but, I don't think it's realistic. "Realistic" is an important word, and I'll get back to it later. . . . keep reading

    Why Women Shouldn't Drive
    L.B. Woodard
Why Women Shouldn't Drive Warning! Humor zone ahead. It seems obvious to me that women shouldn't drive. They lack qualities that make a person a safe driver. First of all, women tend to live longer than men. Why is this a problem? We've all been behind a blue-haired old lady before. . . . keep reading
